✦ Nature notes from the wandering hours
Keep a little wonder close.
Wildlife, wild places, and the fleeting little scenes that make you stop in your tracks.
Made slowly, usually with muddy boots.
A few favourites from the field
Every hike brings something.
From Barred Owls in the snow to shorelines at dawn, every frame here was made by Janice.
Hello, I’m Janice
I follow the light, the quiet, and the things that move me.
Based in Port Carling, Ontario, photography is how I keep track of the little things that make the world feel enormous: a patient heron, an owl in fresh snow, the way a path changes after rain. I’m always learning, often wandering, and delighted to share the moments I find along the way.
Wild things
Respectful distance, curious eyes.
Wild places
The long way is usually best.
Small worlds
Ferns, wings, and damp forest floors.
A little piece of the outdoors
Bring the outside in.
Every image in this gallery is available for a print inquiry. If one catches your eye, send a note and we can talk size, paper, and whether it feels right for your wall.
